Sums of 10

Last week in math, we learned about the sums of 10.  I love teaching this, because there are so many fun activities to do!  My two favorites are the sums of 10 rainbow and dice game.

Together we make a rainbow connecting sums of 10.  I guide them through this with pencil first, then I let them color in their rainbows.  Usually I do these on the long paper, but since I wanted them to fit in their scrapbooks, I shrunk it down.

The children love dice games, so of course they were happy to play this one {see instructions below}.  It was a little confusing at first, so we played it all together with the giant yellow dice one day, then with partners the next.  It was a great time!

I love this idea. I just taught this a couple days ago. I still have some kiddos that could use some small group instruction and this is perfect.
Thanks-
Lauren
