2013 Calendars!

{Click here to purchase the updated version of this product.}

I am SO sorry for taking so long to get these calendars for you all!  I have to admit, I was a little overwhelmed with all the emails and comments looking for the 2013 Calendars.  I planned on doing it earlier this summer, but I haven't had much of a break yet.  Then I realized I didn't have Microsoft Publisher on my computer anymore (my favorite calendar making program).  But thanks to Thinking Mama I found this site and whipped them up for you!

I print the poems on 2x4 labels.  Much easier to assemble and they look a lot cleaner.  :)

An anonymous blogger said:  "We do a Kissing Hand unit, we paint the child's hand and put a heart shaped sticker in the palm. It comes out perfect with a heart right in the center. Just an added idea for the Valentine page."

Enjoy!

  1. What an adorable idea! Thanks for sharing the poems and calendar! What part of the hand did you use to make the snowman body, caterpillar etc?

  10. How do you bind the calendars? Do you have any tips for mommy's at home making things like this for grandparents? thanks!

  11. My school has a binding machine that I used, but when I ran out of binding combs with only ONE calendar left to make {I wasn't about to go buy a whole box for just one} I took it to a local copy place and they bound it for me. I know staples does binding as well, and if you aren't making a class size, it should be too expensive. :)

  12. Do you do the paintings on card stock and then just glue a sheet of white paper with the calendar on it for the other side? Thanks for this cute idea! :)

  13. Love this! Im doing with my preschooler for grandparents Christmas presents! Do u just glue the white calendar pages to the back of the colored construction paper to make the book??

  14. My first year I tried gluing/taping the pages together. That was way too much work. Now I just leave them unconnected. I figured the calendar is usually pinned open, so it isn't a big deal if they aren't glued together. Double sided tape and scrapbook photo tape worked the best though. If you only have one or two to make, it wouldn't be too bad. :)

  15. I know someone asked this but I didn't understand the answer. In order to flip the page so the picture is at the top doesn't it have to be on the back side of the calendar page. If so how is the calendar attached when using colored card stock??

  16. I've done these - I pre-copy the calendars on white card stock, back to front so that they hang like real calendars would. Then, I have the kids stamp their hands right on the page. No cutting and gluing, but all pages are white.

  32. You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be actually something which I think I would never understand.

It seems too complex and extremely broad for me.
I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!

    Jan. Snowmen
    Rolling, rolling on the ground
Make that snowman oh so round
Each is different it’s surely true.
Here’s one I made just for you.

    Feb. My Valentine
A piece of your hearts you gave to me
to make me as special as I can be.
and now I give back, with love so true,
this heart I painted for you and you
Now you guys have a part of me
just as it was meant to be!

    March. My Shamrock
    I have a little shamrock.
For the best luck there can be.
But you really don’t need it cause,
    You will always have me!

    Apr. My Easter Bunny
I’m an Easter Bunny, watch me hop.
Here are my ears, see how they flop!
As I go by my eggs I drop.
Find them if you can until the egg hunt stops!

For July instead of the flag, i made fireworks with glitter paint and little splashes of red and blue on white paper,
    Fireworks!
In the corner of the pretty night sky.
We wait for pretty fireworks to go by.
This night that stands for our country.
Oh how fantastic to be with our family.

    Sept. Autumn Leaves
    Autumn leaves are now falling,
they have turned from green to brown
We rake them up into a pile
Now watch me jump with a big smile!

    Dec. My Christmas Tree
    Pretty Christmas tree lights
    Snow covering everything in whites
I’ve been good all year long
minus the few things I may have done wrong
But here's a gift to you from me
My very first handprint Christmas tree

thank you for the wonderful idea, i have toddlers, and we're making them for a christmas gift for the parents! we're also adding corner stickers so the calendars can be replaces with the next years so these calendar can be used over and over again!
